Düsseldorf's most authentic brewery tour

Over ten years ago, we had a simple idea: we wanted to show people Düsseldorf the way we would show it to our own friends.

Since then, we have been guiding individuals, groups of friends, international visitors, and corporate teams through Düsseldorf’s Old Town and its traditional breweries.

No standard tours here. Just guides with heart, their own stories, their own favorite spots, their own favorite Altbier, and a genuine connection to their city.

OUR GUIDES MAKE THE DIFFERENCE.

Our tours are lively, personal, and always a little different. Between Altbier and culture, our guides share their favorite spots, personal recommendations, and stories you won’t find in any guidebook.

More than just a brewery tour.

Who is the Brewery Tour in Düsseldorf suitable for?

Our Düsseldorf Brewery Tour is suitable for anyone who wants to experience the traditional Altbier, the Old Town and local stories in an entertaining and relaxed way.

The tour is popular with travellers, couples, groups of friends, birthday groups, bachelor and bachelorette parties, companies, team events, clubs and solo travellers. It is suitable both for first-time visitors and for people who would like to rediscover Düsseldorf and its beer culture.

What is the difference between a public and a private Brewery Tour?

The public Brewery Tour is ideal for solo travellers, couples, smaller groups and spontaneous bookings. Three glasses of Altbier are included, the route follows a set format and you join other guests.

The private Brewery Tour is exclusively for your group. You have your own guide and can arrange the time, meeting point and finishing point more flexibly. The route and drink arrangements can also be adapted on request.

How does a Brewery Tour work?

Our Brewery Tours normally start in the square in front of the Löwenhaus at Liefergasse 9 and last approximately two hours. During the tour, you visit several traditional brewhouses in Düsseldorf’s Old Town, taste different Altbiers and learn about the city’s brewing traditions and local culture. Some of the brewhouses operate their own brewery on site. Between stops, your guide shares historical stories, local humour and interesting facts about Düsseldorf.

What is included in the Brewery Tour?

The public Brewery Tour includes a knowledgeable local guide and three glasses of Altbier per person. Additional drinks can be ordered at your own expense.

Drinks are not included in the standard price of the private Brewery Tour. This allows the experience to remain flexible, and suitable drink packages or other arrangements can be discussed in advance.

Which brewhouses do you visit during the tour?

Düsseldorf’s Old Town is home to several traditional brewhouses, several of which brew their own Altbier on site. Depending on the route, operating conditions and group size, stops may include places such as Uerige, Zum Schlüssel, Füchschen, Schumacher or Kürzer. The exact selection can vary. Tell us in advance or speak to your guide at the beginning if there is a particular brewhouse you would especially like to visit.

How long does the tour last and how much walking is involved?

The Brewery Tour lasts approximately two hours. The brewhouses in Düsseldorf’s Old Town are close to one another and the tour includes several stops, so the walking distance is manageable. Our guides are happy to adapt the pace where possible.

Is the tour available in German and English?

Yes. Public and private Brewery Tours are available in German and English. Additional languages may be possible on request, depending on guide availability.

Where do the Brewery Tours normally start?

The standard meeting point is the square in front of the Löwenhaus at Liefergasse 9, in the heart of Düsseldorf’s Old Town. The public tour normally finishes at a centrally located brewhouse. For private tours, the meeting point and finishing point can be adjusted on request.
